I used to be a rather exclusive decaf drinker. I thought I had vertigo and found out that caffeine is a trigger for an event. But, now I know I don’t have vertigo and can go back to at least the 50/50 coffee. It still tastes the same.
Decaf Coffee just placebo effect to Brutus brain – it will work just fine until he gets to office and gets a jolt of the real mud and Veeblefester. One can become addicted to caffeine. Coffee – soda – tea – energy drinks – chocolate. So limited caffeine can be a benefit or harmful in excess. Like drinking and smoking.
I’m sorry. Any God Fearing, coffee drinking person who doesn’t pollute his or her coffee with cream, sugar or some foo foo flavoring will notice that at the first sip, or I should say gulp, as that is how coffee was meant to be consumed……
As a non-coffee drinker, I read my comics instead. For some reason, I feel better and more ready to get things done once I have finished the cartoons. The diet Coke probably helps too.
Somewhere in the back of my mind, I have a vague memory—and I admit it may be a false memory—of a commercial for a brand of decaf coffee where the advertiser says they’ve replaced a man’s usual coffee with their decaf brand and want to see if he notices.

Tricking people with decaf should be a felony offense.

When he falls asleep on the bus and ends up in the next town, I think he’ll figure it out.

I’m surprised they even have decaf in the house. But me, I’ll take my Morning Joe on MSNBC with a shot of Pepsi.

I won’t tell him… I won’t have any and I won’t tell him why either.

If you can’t tell the difference between regular and decaf, then your regular is really bad or decaf has improved a lot since I had any.

If he’s a regular caffeine drinker, the headache will be a killer in a little while.

When visiting my inlaws for the holidays I found myself tired and confused (well, more so than usual). They had switched to decaf with telling us.

Why is it even n the house, unless it’s for when the gargoyle visits?

Gladys was smart not to ruin the morning for Brutus, since Veeblefester will as usual ruin the rest of his day.

Who cares if it’s a placebo, as long as it works.
