Why are you using paint in a carpeted room? How long has it been since the tube was squished by the chair leg? Acrylic dries hard very quickly. A carpet cleaner is not going to do a lot of good Dan, you’re gonna need a razor blade (and a better choice of replacement floor covering….I suggest tile or vinyl).
Time to replace the carpets with heated tile, or event an industrial grade terrazzo. Fun to slide on in your socks. If you’re a bachelor you can just hose that sucker down.
At the risk of giving even more unsolicited, after-the-fact advice, if I remember correctly, rubbing alcohol will dissolve acrylic paint. But in small quantities — a whole tube over a whole room would not be easy.
Very long time since I used acrylics. Anything, actually — sort of a New Years resolution, every year.

My wife spilled some acrylic paint
She cleaned it up as best she could but the smell and fumes lingered
I have COPD, my lungs complained for days

Why all the admonishing unsolicited advice over a comic strip? Over an event that took place 4 years ago?

If you’re quick, acrylic paint can be cleaned with soap and water.

Dan didn’t notice that the chair leg was on a tube of paint? Wouldn’t it have been a little wobbly??
