This reminds me of an old gag from a Warner Bros. cartoon. A guy is trying to convince a show business exec that he has a talking dog that would make a great act. He gives a sample.
“What is the opposite of smooth?” the man asks the dog.
“Rough!” the dog answers.
“What’s on top of a house?”
“Roof!”
“Who is the greatest baseball player ever?”
“Ruth!”
“GET OUT!!!” the show business exec screams, and they are kicked out onto the street, at which point the dog turns to the man and asks, “Do you think I should have said DiMaggio?”
