Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
You do realize that there could be a case made that this comic is set in the future, after the collapse of the governments and a return to more basic life. In this world, like that of the Flintstones extinct creatures like dinosaurs had been recreated before the collapse. It explains how the tablets sent across the water are able to be read because the language is common to many survivors of the collapse of civilisation, and explains why Christmas is celebrated and other anachronisms.
And here I was thinking that door in the tree was going to lead to a holiday. Maybe Mothers-Day-Town with the phone representing the “call your mother” mantra we hear at that time every year.
This is why Superman always kept his Clark Kent clothes in a pouch in his cape, and his super suit well hidden. Risky leaving that stuff around where anyone might just stumble on to it.
