It is interesting they’re running this story and the “tempter” isn’t some random kid added just to be a bad influence, but a major recurring character (and one who sticks around for decades). TJ turns into a “funny con-man” and more of a trickster, but back then he was way more diabolical.

That same rationale is being used today. Someone steals and there are those who claim it’s not really a crime because the store has loss insurance…one particularly opinionated person took exception to Rite-Aid upping security at their stores and demanded the company, “just let people steal the f…ing diapers.”
