One of our cats’ lies by the fireplace SO close that it’s a wonder he doesn’t set himself on fire. (there’s a glass door there) Another one we used to have did the same thing. Both are/were black. I wonder if it has to do with that. None of the others have ever done it.

Cats evolved for desert environments. They can live in 130 degree temperatures. Doubt the black color has anything to do with it.
