I swear, I could write a book. Tonite I was getting ready to go to the kids for Super Bowl when I discovered the toilet in the Master bath had overflowed. I don’t have a plunger or a mop. Went to Dollar Tree…no plungers. Bought a sponge mop.. went to squeeze out the water,, squeeze part snapped off.. can’t use mop.. I went to the party, borrowed daughter’s plunger. Nope, wouldn’t flush. Went in the other bathroom. That toilet wouldn’t flush either.
Called the plumber. They don’t have anybody until tomorrow. Both toilets are full to the brim. Going to be an interesting night.

National Football Hangover Day. I watched exactly zero minutes and zero seconds of the Super Bowl. No hangover here.

National Clean Out Your Computer Day. Observed on the second Monday in February, National Clean Out Your Computer Day promotes taking time out of your day to do some basic housekeeping on your computer.All computers need regular organizing and clean-up. This includes the removal of old files and clutter. We tend to save emails, documents, and photos on our hard drives when other media can store them for us. Often, we keep duplicates we don’t need. Old programs also create havoc, too. Makes sure you are using the latest versions of programs and operating systems, too. Over time, files and programs that are unused on your PC clog the memory and cause confusion during retrieval and use of other data. They may also slow down your computer.
I think I need to do that. My computer has gotten much too slow.
Happy Valentines day to all, including our beloved animals. My sister developed some complications with blood clots near her heart and in her legs and a hematoma at the incision site that caused her to lose 2 pints of blood on Saturday. She had procedures yesterday that will hopefully take care of these issues. Because of staff shortages, only her 2 daughters are on the call list for information, including the one who is an addict and rarely answers her phone. I got around that by calling the nurses station at 4:30 this morning when they aren’t as busy and was able to speak to her very kind nurse right away and was told she didn’t have too bad a night, pain medication was only needed once. Yesterday I was afraid of losing her but I am more optimistic now. I’m scheduled on the visitor list for Tuesday.
Awww, how sweet of Oliver. Happy Valentines’ Day, everyone. Not my favorite holiday, but what the heck, we should try to have a good day anyway. On another note, saw a Steller’s jay, seven varied thrushes, a towhee, and a sparrow while out walking today.
