Prey, pls prove Hobbes knew it was you! Just shouting won’t do.

Next, Calvin will try to explain to Mom and Dad that Hobbes was responsible for his dirtiness.

And, of course, they won’t believe him!!

Anyone with a cat can relate. They attack you… even though they know it’s you.

“Instinct kicked in. I knew it was you, but why waste it?”

“You darn well knew that was I!”

They say if you don’t use it, you lose it!

Incredible!

Now if the real Bengals had made a few more tackles like that last month…

Don’t knock instinct. Tigers have been around far longer than people.

Good thing he knew it was you. Otherwise, he’d have eaten you with his mandibles of death!

I’d really like to hear what he tells him mother when he arrives home looking like that…

This actually happens with domestic cats. I learned long ago to make a little clicking sound before touching a cat, even if I thought it was awake.

I once bent over a cat with half-open eyes, touched him, and he jumped straight up and nearly broke my nose.

Maybe Calvin should try wearing a mask on the back of his head. It’s been known to fool tigers in the wild… for a while, at least.

He deserved it for something bad he did.

Rule number one of walking in the woods: Never step on easily snappable sticks.

Of course, Hobbes knew it was you. Who else would he attack?

The instinct kicked in st the right time. Calvin should have guessed this coming. After all it is only he who can see the feline in life form.
