I’m with Spud on this one. I put milk chocolate on my sugar-frosted Sugar Bombs.
Who’s megan?
Thinking aloud, but I think the cacao/cocoa from which chocolate is made belongs in the fruit section of the food pyramid.
Chocolate is made from cocoa beans. Beans are vegetables, therefore chocolate is a vegetable.
For once Spud thinks he’s right and he’s not backing down.
Don’t ask him about almond milk.
Two words, Spud: chocolate.. milk…
It feels like there’s a panel or two missing up front.
I like the milk carton inside the No symbol in the 1st panel.
It’s milk with chocolate. It’s still dairy!
It does contain dairy though……
Yet another example of deceptive advertising, I say.
Also, I thought classrooms had largely stopped teaching with the original food pyramid, on the grounds that people realized it’s pretty much bunk. :P
I’m going to have to side with Spud on this one…
Too much confidence, Spud.
Spuds face in the fourth panel could be matched with multiple sentences such as: i don’t see the alien spud
Better – Malt Chocolate Milk.
Old chart – that pyramid was replaced by a more confusing one in 2005, and then by the “food plate” in 2011. Their rural school district must be underfunded.
Hate to break it to you Spud, but Chocolate has it’s own food Group. It’s even beneficial for muggles.
Spud has a point there…Megan!
Spud feels quite strongly about this.
Chocolate is a bean, etc., but chocolate milk is milk with chocolate flavor. Why it’s not considered a dairy product is beyond me.
