With a dog, you can walk out the door to get the newspaper and when you come back in a few seconds later, they’re over the moon like “oh my god!!! You’ve been gone so long!!!”
With a cat, you can leave for two weeks and when you come back, they’re like, “oh, are you still here?” XD

Newton does the same thing, bringing toy after toy hoping I can play with him—and looks as dejected as Rover does when I can’t.
