Donald Trump is still trying to blame anyone but himself for his long-time accounting firm’s decision last week to sever ties with the Trump Organization.
He insisted Sunday that the firm Mazars USA was “broken” by “Radical leftist racist prosecutors.”
Trump offers no evidence for his accusations that the prosecutors are racist. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and state Attorney General Letitia James — who are both investigating Trump Organization business practices — are Black.
Trump quoted Mazars’ statement that it “performed its work in accordance with professional standards.” But Mazars didn’t say the same about the Trump Organization.
Mazars terminated its relationship, it explained in a letter that was part of a court document filed last week, because ten years of financial statements it had prepared with records provided by the Trump Organization could no longer be considered reliable.

But what they are missing – or more accurately purposefully suppressing – is the fact that Putin didn’t need to make such threats when his ally Trump was occupying the White House.
The evidence is that the one thing that Putin has been adamant about in the current conflict is his determination to extract a promise that Ukraine will never join NATO. His goal all along has been to weaken NATO and the European Union. But Putin didn’t need to take military action to achieve that goal during the Trump administration because Trump was doing that for him.
The authoritarian apologists will be claiming that giving Trump his day in court is “unfair”, because law & order was never supposed to apply to guys like Trump.
Eric has already testified to the grand jury – he reportedly pleaded the Fifth Amendment over 500 times – I don’t expect the rest of the Trump family to be any more forthcoming – it is worth noting, however, that, while “pleading the Fifth” protects a person in a criminal case, it can be used against you in a “civil” case which the New York and Manhattan prosecutors are also pursuing against the Trump family.
Trump has already appealed to the Idiots, Morons and Imbeciles who continue to support him to “protect” him from such “legalities” by “storming the barricades”, if he’s indicted – thereby effectively destroying what little is left of the “Rule of Law” that continues to survive here in America.
After the “dust” has settled, and the cows will come home to roost, in a horrible mixing of metaphors, Trump has only the possibility of him expiring before the myriad cases are brought to completion against him – and his children has no such hope.
Trump can’t even hope that being reelected to a second term as president will protect him because all his problems are being tried at the “state” level, against which the federal position is no protection at all.
Please note, however, that, if elected to a second term as president he could declare “marshal law” or some such “legal” maneuver and somehow prevent his incarceration, so he and his co-conspirators are not without tools to thwart “justice”, even now.
Understand that Trump doesn’t care a “fig” for America and its values, and he and his “butt buddy” Vlad probably already have Donnie John’s Dacha outside of Moscow picked out.
Although, if America is STUPID enough to give Trump a second chance to destroy American democracy, Donnie John may not even have to move!
