The puzzling behavior of light.

hmmm, no quantum effects.

I remember watching a documentary about Robert Crumb, the underground cartoonist. He said his intense cross-hatching kept him sane. I wonder if that applies to Kliban’s work.

He felt stripped of his right to view bars on the reflection….even though he blended into the background of the cell!

I just thought it was the only part of the cell wall he had not used to mark days of imprisonment but, then again, I’m an optimist. :)

You have to really, really, really, really want to draw a cartoon to do that much crosshatching.

The bars are just an optical illusion. Just crawl out the window.

LIght is both particle and wave. Drives me nuts, I tell you. Also, I imagine prisoner is Putin.

Through these prism bars I would fly

Now that is torture.

…and they wonder why prisoners went stark raving mad!
