ok, I know that Richard Thompson died in 2016 and that the cartoons that he drew are – or rather were – being recycled or “looped” … a lot of well-known cartoons have a second life that way. And I also know that some “established” cartoons being drawn today are actually not the work of the cartoonist who originated them. Fair enough. But - and it pains me to write this - the stories and the artwork being produced in the version of Cul de Sac are really inferior by comparison. If that can’t be improved asap, I’m done with the strip.
My understanding is that when Parkinson’s took away Richard’s ability to draw he relied on guest artists but the words and stories were still his….true?

That is the scariest “I had a dream” speech I have ever heard, but apparently Mom is nonplussed.

The first panel is either greatly stylized or very realistic. A powerful evocation of the sound and emotion.
