Our food dehydrator and bread machine currently live in the garage, alongside the drip coffee machine, which was replaced by a fancy espresso machine. It might be time for some Swedish death cleaning around here.
I had a bread maker when I met my wife. She has followed two careers in her life – nurse and high end pastry chef.
After we’d been together a few years she’d quietly assassinated every kitchen item I owned (when we met) that she disapproved of.
I can, to some extent, see her point. (She can hand make just about any bread that mankind has ever developed and views bread machines as an abomination.)
And I’m always amused by the “Who, me?” face of innocence she puts on when I catch her out in such matters.
Sounds like my kitchen. I have quite a variety of gadgets that I just couldn’t live without that are taking up space on my counters and in my cupboards. Now I see them as a big dollar sign instead of the practical tools that I just HAD to HAVE. Sigh…..
I have a microwave, toaster oven, and crockpot. There is a range and oven in the kitchen that I rarely use. Mostly for storing the crockpot and toaster oven.
My son bought me a dehydrator a few years ago that I’ve used 2 or 3 times. I want to learn how to make crackers and bars in it.. someday XD . I need to save up to replace my portable washing machine.. but I had to buy a pretty new teapot at Murchies Tea shop. LOL

Dehydrate, rehydrate with the syphon. Repeat.

you need a food rehydrator next to the dehydrator.
For symmetry.

Well, you can make toast in a pan too.

My husband loves kitchen gadgets. He buys them, uses them a couple of times, and then they take up shelf space until they are garage sale fodder.

And then there was the Great Saucepan Caper…
