He is not original. I remember a board game in my youth called Snakes and Ladders where most all the snakes stood upright like humans. Maybe this snake should study that game and lean on ladders which were always nearby the snakes.
Snakes get a bad rap much of the time. It’s sad how many harmless, non-venomous snakes are killed in India every year. Even the venomous ones normally stay out of the way of humans, and attack only when they feel threatened, or are provoked.
I’ve always thought snakes were beautiful. I can see having an aversion to wanting to encounter one if it appears suddenly out of the grass or if it could be venomous. Just think… an animal that has no appendages and has to catch its food (they don’t have the option of eating plants), find mates and avoid predators.
