Chicago Radio Legend Steve Dahl used to do his show one week a year from Hawai’i; he laughed at their weather folks – said they should come and say “Hey – it’s Maui!”.
WGAL in Lancaster has one weatherman who is a camera hog. There’s a one hour long newscast at noon. The second half hour has very little news but lots of weather – over and over.

Where I am from the weather will change 10 times before the forecast is over.

Around here they usually predict it about 7 days ahead with accuracy.
