If that were the moat, rotten would be a given, egg or not.

I heard rotten eggs will float. A good egg will sink.

This reminds me of a Red and Rover comic strip in which schoolboy Red said to his dog Rover, “Last one in’s a rotten egg!” Rover beat Red into the pool and they played together. Rover then noticed a stream of bubbles behind Red and taunted him with “Rotten egg! Rotten egg! Rotten egg!”

My favourite strips are Calvin and Hobbes and Andy Capp. Red and Rover and The Wizard of Id are strong contenders for third place.

In a recent Red and Rover strip from about two weeks ago, Red was reading a Wizard of Id strip and learned a new word “POOF!”.

Rodney even wears his chain mail to swim. For that matter, the King is wearing his crown.

For the Wizard’s sake, I hope he can undo the spell without the King realizing what happened. Otherwise, we’ll soon see the Wiz chained to the dungeon wall.
