This is the same one as yesterday…

Right “on schedule”, this comic — and a few others — is failing to update, from the 1st of the new month.

I’m developing a theory: Those strips — all of them reruns — are fed to GoComics a month at a time, and GoComics just displays a new one each day. But then whoever feeds them to GoComics forgets to do their job when the next month begins. After a while, somebody notices, and then GoComics backfills the month when they receive the entire new month.

That’s a guess, but it would explain what keeps happening.

Really tiresome when GC can’t properly load reruns.

Any chance of farther updating?

I wonder if there was something in the comics from the first week of June in ‘72 that it totall unacceptable for today’s audience. I know Id isn’t Doonsbury (whose politics could get very edgy) but Id could get pretty tone deaf sometimes (like the way Asians are depicted with buck teeth and thick glasses) Perhaps there was something in that week’s comics that is totally out of line. I’m trying to remember if there were any world happenings going on in ‘72 that Id might have made comments on that would be too jarring today, but I can’t really remember what current events were in ’72.

Tiresome.
