In my teaching years….after Easter I put up two numbers which kept declining. First, it took the young scholars a few days to notice. Eventually I told then one number was the numbers left in the school year. The second number was the number of days until the start of the next school year. Students were pleased by one number but were angry at the other…..roughly the 10-11 weeks ~the days of summer…
