Given Spud’s love for rap, I’d expect him to want to be mistaken for Salt-n-Pepa.

Wowzers—look at that beanstalk!! Seagull peeking over the edge of the porch is cute. What was the intro panel like in the papers?

That child is gonna have some serious psychotherapy when he grows uo.

One thing I like about Spud is his cool, calculated assessment of risks.

What happened to Spud’s house? In previous strips, it was two stories.

Kids = unpaid garden labor!

Honestly, that’s some GOOD luck.

I’d hide behind the pepper shaker. It’s a known fact that giants prefer salt.

Wallace would love that adventure!

You couldn’t find more opposing attitudes in friendships than these two best buds. Gotta love it.

Well, with the reported flour shortage, the giants might welcome some Englishmen to grind their bones for bread.

WOW. Just wow. This panel is Gorgeous. Almost all the comics nowadays are just heads talking, but you really bring your strip to life in a way not seen since the days of Calvin and Hobbes. This is amazing. Kudos to you.

The Intro panel (Which Gocomics doesn’t display) has a scene of a house on a street going down to the shore. On the near side of the street is a hillside where the seagull is lying on its back on the grass. Across the water on a bit of land is a shoe shaped building on stilts. “Wallace the Brave” is written in the sky and his name is below the seagull.

I think the remark about hiding behind a giant saltshaker is a reference to the Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck “Jack and the Beanstalk” cartoon, the one with Elmer Fudd as the giant.
