I was one of those who could taste the distinct bitterness of brussels sprouts while growing up in the 80’s. As an adult I’ve never had them again, but I just stumbled upon an article that said that these days, they aren’t as bitter and how you prepare them can help remove any lingering bitterness. So, I may give them a try after all of these years!

Go with the brussels sprouts and hope for a better protein to go with it.

Love tuna on a sandwich but in casseroles? Nah – I’ll take the brussel sprouts.

Tuna, if it’s not in a sandwich, forget it.

“Salmon loaf” was my mother-in-law’s way of saying “We’re going out for supper.”
