Years ago, my sister was reading Gone With the Wind. She stopped with fifty pages left.

I’m sorry, but DNFs are necessary for some reads.

I rarely let a book go unfinished. When I do, it’s because I find life too short to read a book I’m just not getting into. Though, many times, I’ll come back to it later and enjoy it. Thomas Hardy’s “Far from the Madding Crowd” was one such book.

If there was one with my name at the end, it would have at least that many books.

If a book I put down doesn’t make me want to finish it, then “meh,” it clearly isn’t worth spending anymore time on. Let all the half-read books go! Literally (and I mean, literally) no one is judging you. Well, unless you are in school, and it’s assigned, and there will be a test, then yes, “read all the books!”
