I’m trying to decide if I saw that coming or not…

What universe is this that people are THAT obsessed over an NFL stars GF; one that tries to stay out of the spotlight? I’m a huge NFL fan and the only WAGS I know of are those that put themselves out there (like Brittany Mahomes).

I think this was a Saturday Night Live or Mad TV sketch, where there were people who had the same name as famous celebrities. The joke was that they had their identity stolen because they weren’t the “real” one. I forget the exact celebrity name they went with, but the joke was that the guy became a researcher and actually CURED CANCER, which he apparently did because he was hoping that would be such a great accomplishment that it would finally make HIM the “real” bearer of that name. But the next day’s newspaper had the actor’s engagement as the headline story and his curing cancer was just a tiny blurb at the bottom of the page.
