SCOTUS used to be the entity I trusted to get things (eventually) right. Right up until they elected Dubya. And now this. Either the electorate manages to flush out some of the seditionists who call themselves “Republican” … or it may have to be time to start over. Which would make me very sad, scared, and a bunch of other non-positive emotions.

Can’t wait until they find “historical evidence” to support taking away women’s right to vote and to reinstate slavery

Why are NO Republican legislators taking victory laps?

One Republican congressman from Maine (?) talked once about how great it was, but then total congressional silence about the topic.

They have spent literally decades criticizing the Roe decision as mass murder of the unborn, but now that they have achieved success, they won’t discuss it.

    .

And you would think they would be salivating at the prospect of executing all the perpetrators of these premeditated MURDERS!!!!, or at least life sentences in prison.

That IS where Murderers and others who commit capital crimes belong, right?

    .

Even the Trump Disciples who comment here seem reluctant to celebrate.

Why aren’t the GOP happy about this ruling, they should be having the five justices in front of every reporter in the country?

The world is watching Lady Justice being violently raped by the Republicans. Our self-professed christian conservatives proudly cheering them on. Does that assessment offend you? It should. Your vote in November can stop this.

Griswold v. Connecticut and Eisenstadt v. Baird stopped states from being able to ban birth control. They were used as the precedents for Roe v Wade and are based on the same logic and right to privacy. Several Repubs, including Marsha Blackburn and all of the Repub candidates for AG in Michigan have already said that they will be looking at overturning these cases as well. This information needs to be spread far and wide – according to polls most people do NOT want RvW overturned, and the numbers are going to be MUCH higher against banning BC.

Someone suggested that all baby boys be subjected to a vasectomy right after they are born, not to be reversed until the men are married. That should solve the problem!

What’s the difference between atheists and evangelicals?

Atheists are honest about not following Jesus.

This should remove any doubt about the Republican Party’s Ultimate Goal: the establishment/enforcement of a White Paternalistic Christian society.

Oh, did I state Critical Race Theory there? Did I make someone uncomfortable?

Thank goodness the Democrats have a plan to fight back, once you vote for them in November, but it will also be your fault for not voting hard enough when they lose, and anyway they didn’t really feel like fighting at all, it’s just some bullshit they know will motivate the kinds of people who think words speak louder than actions.

Nothing has been overturned, Clay. And even if Roe v. Wade is struck down, that’s not an instantaneous ban on abortion everywhere.

Think how much easier this would all be if the 10th amendment said simply, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved… to the people,” and lift out that sticky phrase “…to the States respectively, and….”

You know, everyone should just step back, take a breath, and wait until the Court actually makes their ruling. As this was a draft from 6 months ago, things could very well have changed.
