But Charlie, just that one dandelion can and will take over your entire small garden. It’s a member of the composite family (also called the daisy family), and along with it’s 25,000 other family members, they seem determined to take over the world. Your one little dandelion will give you a pretty little flower head that is composed of hundreds of individual flowers which all produce seeds. So, Charlie, unless you dig it out, you’re gonna soon be inundated with dandelions even without it’s little friends.
Personally, I love dandelions. I don’t have a lawn, per se, just an acre of natural meadow-grassland that is regularly mowed. The dandelions have learned to duck when they hear the mower coming, so the place always has pretty little yellow flowers here, there and everywhere — smile.

Time for dandelion salad, then. I hear it goes well with Hasenpfeffer.

Dandelions attract pollinators to your garden. Bunnies love the leaves.
