At first, I thought this was about near-future Rethugican re-education “patriot” camps for teachers who refuse to teach the lessons of the White Male “Christian” master race.

In OK and TX summer break starts in May, but then they start school again in August.

Whatever happened to the idea that school was 180 days? I know they don’t do it here in OK anymore. Do kids still go to school for 180 days in any state? OTOH, Korea has school 5 and 1/2 days a week, 10 months a year. Only off in Jan and Aug.

No wonder the US isn’t #1 in the world, we are not even in the top 20 in the world anymore

Mom was secretary at an elementary school for over 30 years. She worked 2 weeks past when school let out, and 2 weeks before they came back…

The unicorn is a nice touch.

Of course, this is when some of the teachers have to teach summer classes, and all teacher have to keep up on their continued education requirements. And many work summer jobs to help pay the bills, like student loans.
