I think, to be honest, it should say “snack addicted.”

Now if it wasn’t always a “Lab / (purposely undisclosed) mix”….

Both our dogs were raised by cats and had plenty of kids to p!ay with. But, Benny was the guard dog, who made it safe for them to play & respected the cats who raised him. Jean-Luc was the who played with the kids & one of our cats was his special pal, who kept him in line!

We adopted Abby last July from the shelter. She had just turned 2, was born at the shelter and was adopted and returned TWICE to the shelter. The 1st one returned her because they said she agressive towards their cat—in truth they weren’t prepared for a puppy. The 2nd decided they no longer wanted pets and when they returned her, they also tried to surrender their cat. Had she written a bio for her adoption it would have read “I don’t trust humans and I’m very scared of them, especially men.” The past year has been a real struggle trying to “socialize” her and let her see that all humans aren’t jerks. It took 4 months for her to feel comfortable with my husband. Because she had been returned twice I was apprehensive about adopting, but, I was so missing the boxer we had to put down the year before that so I took the plunge. I am so glad I did. She is the sweetest little girl you could ask for and when she knows she can trust you she lets you know! Smart as the day is long and a real joy.

My rescued dog bio would have said…..Golden Retriever Female. Very timid but loves kids and cats. I never ever bark. Is afraid to be outside (No longer true)

Love, kindness and patience is all that is needed for these loving companions. In return their love and devotion is priceless.
