Things sure have changed over the years. When I was a kid, they taught us how to take cover in case of an air raid. Today their’s no danger of air raids, but they have to teach kids how to react to a mass shooting.
How do you know how big the meteor was? Were you there to see it? Why do we assume it was a meteor? Couldn’t it just as easily have been a worldwide flood like the ones depicted in hundreds of cultures around the globe?

My dad was at Bikini Atoll in 1946 . Dad said they were told not to watch the explosion but a lot of them did.
