I wonder which country he is in where the TV remote has only one channel button because that country only has one TV station? Is there such a country in the 21st century?

The remote works. This one just doesn’t work on the TV.

In my bedroom, I have so many remote controls that I keep them in an inverted round hat on the bed. When I get up in the morning, I go on a “tactile safari” to find the control that turns the air cleaner off and the one that turns the room lights on. I’ve tried boxes but you don’t want to roll over on a box in the middle of the night.

Unfortunately, my garage door remote actually has multiple buttons. Manufacturers in the US (and Japan) certainly don’t get “simple.” Probably because <5% of the consumers demand every last whistle and bell so they don’t need to get up and do anything themselves.

Bah. Humbug.

That is me when faced with remotes and buttons.

Sorry, but this gag has been over used by too many cartoonists to be funny anymore.

I remember when over the air tv didn’t have many channels.
