@Scott/John, I know that this type of thing happens a lot in comics that are not comic books or “Visual Novels”, but considering the way some people or groups of people call “Copyright Infringement” at the drop of a hat, is there some special arrangement between comic strip artists and creators that allows the use of images that cause almost “everyone” to know who the imported character is supposed to be? While not exactly identical to the other artist’s drawing of their character, most of you are really, really good at drawing these characters to the point where at first glance they could be mistaken for the work of the original creator. Or is just a matter of comic strip creators and artists not having such thin skin about it, as long as the copyist is not trying to make a mass commercial success with the copying that was done? I can’t remember ever hearing of a law suit over someone doing what you did here. Or am I just so old that my memory is getting bad?
