[nerd alert] The cover of the original reminded me of Shirley Jones, and that brought to mind a strange fact about old TV. Shirley and Fred MacMurray both played huge sluts in the movies, and were then repackaged as the perfect parents on TV.

I can’t take credit for that one. At least once in my life, I’ve seen a hair salon (I think it was in Brooklyn, NY) with the name Curl Up and Dye.
