I’ve been a party to a few of those projects…

I once bought a gas barbecue that Consumer Reports downgraded slightly because they said its assembly was too complicated. I spread the pieces out on the living room floor and spent a happy 3 hours putting it together without any problem. But then, I’m used to enjoying knitting, crocheting, embroidering, sewing, and cooking while following complicated instructions for each activity. I’m also a computer programmer, so putting complex stuff together is my hobby and my profession!

Therapy isnt gonna get guns off the streets….

Gun bill, will be stalled and shelved….there’s no way gop will agree to effective gun control……they’re OUT of control..$$$$$$$$$

And people wonder why most furniture these days looks like something from a doc’s waiting room or an airport loading zone. Not a lot of beauty and style in a box.

My brother wanted me to put together a swing set. The instructions said their engineers or techs took 3 hours to put it together. I did it in 1 and it lasted for years. I also built my furniture from scratch.

Fine print..how to prevent it from tipping over.

That is so true! My wife once purchased a small shelving unit for her office; IKEA of course. The box had 115 parts. After 15 minutes, I said: I’m not assembling this; let’s buy one already assembled!

I’m fortunate enough to have a husband who can put things together, often without having to read instructions. It might take him awhile, but he gets it done, and I don’t have to worry about it.

I don’t understand the big deal people make about “assembly required”. Is there absolutely no patience in their bones? I’ve put together countless pieces of furniture, most of them single handed. I’m not suggesting that I’m smarter than most, probably just a bit more patient than many.
