I don’t think so. One guy, after decades of scamming Americans, some sent a total of a quarter of a billion $ for a non-existent “fight fraud” fund. The irony alone is amazing.

countless sums are spent here in japan on signs posted in post offices and everywhere else to alert the foolish to whatever scams are being perpetrated at the moment, but it’s just throwing good money after bad, ’cause the foolish are, after all, foolish. the latest example involves a guy who gave a scammer 8 million yen when told it would buy him an option for hundreds of millions of yen. i need to get into another profession…
