Reminds me of a guy in Santa Barbara who kept getting reelected with the Hispanic vote because his name was Gonzalez, but he was Greek and didn’t care much for Hispanics. Cruz is worse. He is Hispanic but doesn’t seem to care much about Hispanic people.

I’m bemused by Texas politics, where a Republican senator of Cüban ancestry, Rafael Cruz, who goes by Ted, is opposed by a potato-white Democrat of Irish ancestry, Robert Francis O’Rourke, who goes by Beto.
