This particular strip ending has always irked me. Lacey admits she needs to resign. Joanie seems to gaslight her by asking that question since she has been pushing for her to resign.
Yesterday it was implied that the phone call was a trick, but now both of them are taking it seriously. No big, that just strikes me as kind of odd. Shrug.
One big potential problem with Diane resigning is that the Republicans have already signaled that they won’t approve any one else to temporarily fill the seat.
