A single sequel is only occasionally a good as the original. Anything #3 and beyond seems to be wasted effort. Star Trek 2009 made the smart move and shifted to an entirely new timeline, which worked out well. The Legend of Jean-Luc Picard had lost its energy well before its demise. For me, it began to fade in one episode, when Picard ordered the ship into battle, then sat down in that living room command center and crossed his legs. All he needed was a coffee table and a newspaper.

Well, to fit in the canon, Abbott and Costello’s names should appear first in the title. Maybe the Godfather made them an offer they couldn’t refuse.

I wonder exactly which “IT” the Wiz is referring to: The GODFATHER movies or the ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEETS movies? And YES, it SHOULD be ABBOTT AND COSTELLO MEET THE GODFATHER.

The Godfather would be given an offer, but he’s so confused from the wordplay from those two that he’d wouldn’t know to whether accept or refuse.

If I was an assuming man – I would assume it was a wonderful meet-and-greet movie.

For younger readers who may not get this, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello were a stand-up comedy duo who got their start in the Vaudeville era and went on to star in a number of movies including several featuring classic horror movie characters such as The Invisible Man, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and the Mummy. Arguably, their most memorable movie was ‘Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein’ in which they hilariously encountered the ‘Big Three’: Dracula, The Wolfman and the Frankenstein monster. That movie featured the two actors who originally portrayed Dracula [Bela Lugosi] and The Wolfman [Lon Chaney Jr.]. Only Boris Karloff was missing from the cast because he had sworn to never again play the monster after filming ‘Son of Frankenstein’ in 1939. Instead, that honor went to Glenn Strange who later went on to gain fame in the role of Sam the bartender in the TV series ‘Gunsmoke’.

There is no movie that cannot be improved by the addition of Abbott and Costello!
