This reminds me of one of my Dad’s favourite jokes.

Boy: “There’s a woman at the door collecting for the Old Folks’ Home”.

Dad “Give her Grandma!”

Good joke – especially as it gives the phrase “Give him the bird” a second meaning.

Today’s strip also reminds me of a recent Red and Rover strip where Red reads The Wizard of Id and says he’s learned a new word – poof!

As I’ve said before, Red and Rover and The Wizard of Id are in strong competition for being my third favourite comic strip. My two favourites are Calvin and Hobbes and Andy Capp.
