Look, Heart, at least they’re preparing you. It’s not the sort of thing you want to just show up one day.

On the bright side Heart got a honey bun and a bag of Chippy Chips!

With some kids, it’s not the physical developments they object to, it’s the adults who insist that those developments mean the kid is no longer a kid & must assume adult responsibilities! Physical maturity doesn’t mean one has the capabilities to reason like an adult & sometimes all the physical maturity in the world will not mean any mental maturity!

You could die as a child. Puberty is better.

For some children, going through puberty and talking about it is fine with them because adults don’t make such a big deal out of it. It only becomes dreaded once the adults start to act like you’re an adult, and keep mentioning it.

Just be glad you’re not a trans kid (probably). Eventually merica will just feed kids who question their gender identity directly into a meat thresher.

How come no one’s mentioned the real elephant in the room. In Panel 2, Heart is getting in the driver’s seat then in Panel 3, she’s in the passenger seat. Did she slide across the bucket seats, center console, and, probably, a center mounted gear shift lever? WITH a crutch?

Didn’t she already win a lifetime chip supply, or did she eat it already?

She’s a great mother.

Everyone breathes so yes if any don’t they are dead or have a problem.
