There’s a famous scene in “Red Dwarf” where Lister is starving on a crashed spaceship. His last ration is a can of dog food. He takes one taste and says, “Now, I know why they lick their balls. It’s to get rid of the taste.”
Sometimes cats get into trouble by “competitive eating”. When my kitten was sampling faux cheese, my older cat felt compelled to grab a bite. You should have seen the look on his face. I thought he was going to slug her for tricking him into trying the stuff. :)
