Mike should start having more say in hiring of personnel.

I wonder if taking a baseball bat to his monitor would make him be a little more polite!

How much “concentration” do you need to play on-line games, like he’s doing??

Seems like software geeks could get away with this. In the 90s (when this strip was made)

How about, “We’ll pay you when you produce something”?

Maybe this is why the dot.com bubble burst so spectacularly.

Actually, I know several really gifted programmers/IT pros who are really nice folks. I know there are a lot of real jerks out there too, but then again, some of them are doctors and lawyers.

Seems crazy that such people as Lars exist. But two companies I worked for in Silicon Valley had such people. They’d talk of past successes, and play solitaire, but never added a single particle of value.

Since these 2 guys are so unhappy, maybe they’ll both quit and form their own company

Corner the carbon paper and typewriter repair markets.

You may not make millions but your customers will be sincere.

I didn’t have my reading glasses on, and the first words looked like, “LARS? GOT A MOVEMENT?”

One thing about J.J. – she actually works hard at her art, and (barring sinking boats) actually produces works for her clients. I’m glad Trudeau is showing the holes in the dot com startup model.

Back in the the day (1990’s), Lars would be escorted to the door. I had the honor of showing my former boss the door (Karma IS great!) after the owner told him he was “just another rented mule”.
