He’s lucky the paint can is on his head instead of the other end. Don’t mess with Bluebell, she will …um…she has realllly long claws. And a memory to match.
BIG sigh of relief! I looked out in my garage several times yesterday, hoping to see the garage cats again. I had not seen or heard them for 5 days. I took one last look last night and the food was all gone and there was Annie in the little cat door. I checked around back where they tend to hang out outside the garage (lots of tall weeds to hide in there) and I saw the black kitten and I think I saw the one that looks like Mom cat. Of course, I hurried to fill the cat bowl with dry food and another bowl with canned food for them. I have now been in touch with a person in town who has a live trap which she said I can borrow to catch the cat and kittens. I was hoping not to have to resort to using the trap, but I have to catch Mom before she gets pregnant again and I need to tame those kittens. I’ll be picking up the trap at 10:00 in the morning. Wish me luck that I can catch them all quickly.
Has anyone had experience using these traps? I was wondering if I catch the mom first if it would be possible for any of the kittens to get caught in the trap with her or do I have to catch all of them one at a time?
Update on my garage kitties. I got the trap set up at around 10:30 or 11:00 this morning. By 1:30 I had caught the tortoise shell kitten. And just a few minutes ago (it’s about 2:00 now) I caught Annie, the mom cat. Both terrified kitties are shut in my upstairs bathroom, hiding behind the cabinet where I keep my towels. I used sardines for bait. The trap is reset and I hope I can catch the other two kittens quickly.
By the way, this person, Cecelia, who loaned me the trap, does some animal rescue and Purina donates cans of Fancy Feast cat food to her. So, she gave me a BUNCH of Fancy Feast (77 cans!). I’m using that in the trap, too.
Picky, picky, picky. Bluebell obviously was not in the mood for criticism, especially from Chesney. On another note, saw a rabbit, a raven, four robins, and four Wilson’s warblers while out walking today.

I’ve been texting with the grey kittens’ new mom. She’s been sending me pics of Rosie. I posted a bit about it last night.

Yup, folks! This is the so-called slip of the “paint” and unnecessary apostrophe CATastrophe!

I think you could make scase for the apostrophe. Is a single cat the proprietor?
