I weaned myself off cream and sugar in my coffee while in college. I worked nights for many years and drank some of the worse coffee imaginable. A fresh brewed pot of coffee is a wonderful thing……one of life’s simple pleasures not to be ignored.
I’ve always drank my coffee black. When I was a kid, about 12-13 or so, I saw my neighbor put sugar in his coffee. So, I decided to try mine with sugar in it. I was one sick kid for the rest of the day. In case you’re wondering about a kid drinking coffee, it was in the 50’s. We did that back then. (I’m now 77)
