you can’t say he didn’t catch something, though, full disclosure, he probably rode that bike into the canal himself…

Too bad Flo was there to see that. Now he won’t be able to make up a story about his huge catch.

A vintage Raleigh Roadster, condition depending, would be a much better catch than a fish.

That must be one stiff fishing rod. Most would be bent double hauling up something with that mass. Plus notice that the fishing line didn’t break.

It is sad that people will throw away anything these days.

If it is vintage it might be worth something.

Um—is that a fishing creel or Flo’s purse next to that liquor crate??

Maybe Andy should switch to magnet fishing. I’ve seen some interesting things on YouTube videos…

Clean it up and sell it. Might be worth a couple of cases of Ale.

To paraphrase Forrest Gump, to Andy, fishing is like a box of chocolates, he never knows what he’s going to get

Some people fish with magnets, just to try and find stuff like this!

An inert bike bite. Amazing. Those are dangerous creatures.

I had a Raleigh Rampar way back in the 1970’s, when I was in grade school. Built like a tank! I took it on trails and everything.

It could be worth a lot of money, so it’s not a total loss. That reminds me, I haven’t rode my bike or gone fishing in a long time.

My first thin-tire bike, then referred to as “English”, was a Raleigh three-speed with a chain into the rear hub to change gears. Gear-changing chain broke, letting the transmission pull into HIGH gear. Rode for another two years as a youth and developed some worthwhile leg muscle.

Not quite as big as my biggest catch. I espied a shopping cart that some morons had dumped into a pond near where I once lived, and was able to lasso it using a 30’-long dog training leash. I dragged it back to shore and brought it back to the shopping center to which it belonged, giggling as I envisioned the confusion that the cart herder would have when he/she came across a cart that was completely draped in moss and pond scum.
