Could be Suzie has sent him a verbal letter bomb and knowing he would go nuts working it out was her goal.

You know, the sad thing is, I think I need to go to the bathroom too. The suspense is killing me.

“Go to the bathroom” has a double meaning in this case for the more mature audience… And if you don’t get that, you’re too young… :)
