I have yet to play a game of Solitaire without someone saying something like “that black Jack can go on that Red Queen” or something to that effect. So in a way it is a 2 person game whether the original player likes it or not.

Double Solitaire is a two-player variant on the best-known patience or solitaire card game called Klondike.1 While it is mostly referred to as Double Solitaire,2 it is sometimes called Double Klondike (a name which also doubles as an alternate designation of the single-player solitaire game Gargantua). Games with more players (Triple Solitaire, Quadruple Solitaire, etc.) are also possible. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_Klondike#:~:text=Double%20Solitaire%20is%20a%20two,-player%20solitaire%20game%20Gargantua).

I used to play double solitaire with my dad when I was a child. Don’t remember the rules anymore.

My Dad used to say, when hiking always bring a deck of cards. If you get lost, start playing solitaire. In a few minutes some jerk will show up and tell you to put the red jack on the black queen and you can ask him how to get back to the trail.

Not for Klondike, or Double Solitaire. And the happy-ending stripping version is way more exciting.
