Merlin (also known as Myrddin, Merlinus) is the great wizard of the Arthurian Legends best known from Sir Thomas Maloryās Le Morte DāArthur (1469 CE). The character was created by Geoffrey of Monmouth in his History of the Kings of Britain (1136 CE) where he first appears as a wise and precocious youth with prophetic powers.
Merlinus to me as an alchemist full of esoteric knowledge. Myrddin knew what was to come and could do nothing to change that history. A fascinating character for a mythical time.
Ooookay. Sorry, but my academic background is screaming! Stonehenge was built in the Neolithic. Neolithic means ānew stone ageā. Usually connected to the rise af agriculture, though there are some questions on that. Bottom line is that it was started and finished in the āstone ageā. Oh well, never mind. Iāll be quiet now.
For once, Iām in complete sympathy with the silly Scots kānigāht! (Iām using the āFrenchā pronunciation ā why else would I have this outrageous accent?)

In his old age, his dying act was embedding the sword in the stone.

Not as good a paradox as in āPredestinationā but still good enough.

Iāve wondered how Merlin could have a conversation with anyone if he perceives time backwards.

I tend to take Boodyās advice whenever I watch an impenetrable anime. Try not to think about it too much. Just enjoy.

It must have been difficult for Merlinās parents. He would have been full grown when they were little kids.

Itās as Captain Janeway said. Donāt even try to rationalize temporal paradoxesā¦.
