It’s spaghetti nera.

And that guy is my kids’ great-grandpapa.

At first, I thought he is spooling hair from his nose! Now I figure it’s graveyard earthworms, especially bred for slimey “mouth feel.”

This comic was originally published before the popularity of “squid ink” pasta.

That’s called “Mwa-hahaha Pasta”.

Black spaghetti is made with Squid ink….it may look evil but it’s not! M M M M M

Especially popular with members of the Black Hand. (He definitely looks like one.)

Comes in handy when you have run out of colored crayons.
