Well, you’re on the correct planet. That’s a good start.

Finally the light dawns – not very bright but getting there.

Nah, save it. You might need kindling later for a fire.

And it’s round so you’ll get there eventually.

Sort of like using a dictionary to look up how to spell a word.

And thus the first invention of the compass, was lost to history. Then in 960 AD the Chinese get credit for inventing the compass, and in 1088 AD and Zhu Yu found a use for it in maritime navigation. History is strange.
