We had a black Lab who loved chasing a squirrel every morning. One morning, Pax wanted to go out early, so I took her. Poor girl had a bit of diarrhea. When my mom and dad left without her, the squirrel was waiting expectantly, as if to ask where Pax was. He chittered at them as if he were asking why their appointed date wasn’t happening. It was funny how the squirrel enjoyed the game as well. Pax never tried to catch anything, she just liked the game of “chase”. Who’d have thought the other half enjoyed it also?

Mittens! How could you think such a terrible thing? She lets you cuddle and snuggle and take you out in your magnificent carriage.

I love cats. I love squirrels. Dogs are just okay. Dog owners sometimes, though . . . .
