My cats find more than two days off an annoying interruption to their daily routine. Cats sleep about 16 hours a day. It’s hard to get that in with a human blundering about all day. :)
I had a cat who understood the routine of five work days and two days sleeping late. But holidays threw him. He would freak out and demand I get up and out of work at the regular time (for which I had no desire as I started work very early). And no, it wasn’t just he wanted to be fed as I would get up and feed him and go back to bed, but he would still demand I get out of bed. He would be really frantic about it, as if he felt I was making a terrible mistake and just needed a cat to set me right.

Our cats won’t eat packaged cat treats. It’s their way of saying they’re not dogs.
